Jim has over 25 years of consumer-focused business experience, leading some of the world’s top companies and brands. He has shaped and directed innovative, high-performance teams across product, technology, marketing, analytics and business development. He has built a reputation for fostering an intrapreneurial and entrepreneurial culture that enhances the customer experience, streamlines employee operations and brings products to life. 

Prior to joining AMS as its CEO, Jim unified a family of photography and customized product brands as President of Shutterfly, Inc. While there, he oversaw business strategy and created meaningful customer connections through deeper brand experiences, strategic acquisitions and partnerships. 

Jim also held leadership roles at Express, Barnes & Noble, Sears, SAP and IBM, where he managed product launches, delivered industry-first technological approaches, spearheaded international brand expansions, and identified and initiated significant growth opportunities. Jim’s dedication to leadership is recognized and respected – being named a 2018 Henry Crown Fellow from the Aspen Institute.

In addition to helping his son build his growing coin collection, Jim has a passion for making art and creativity more accessible for children of all backgrounds, teaching the next generation of innovators, and removing systemic disparities that hinder equitable access to healthcare.

With over 20 years of extensive Finance expertise, Natalie joined AMS in 2015 as Corporate Controller, leveraging her past experience to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting accuracy. Named Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2018, she plays a pivotal role in shaping AMS’s financial strategies and ensuring sound fiscal decision-making. Her influence extends beyond traditional finance –  spearheading operational and logistics optimization initiatives, and integrating financial strategies with efficient supply chain management.

Natalie directs teams responsible for various essential functions, including general accounting, financial planning and analysis, analytics and insights, credit and cash management, and procurement, as well as operations and logistics. Under Natalie’s leadership, AMS has strengthened its financial position while optimizing operational efficiencies. Her strategic foresight and hands-on approach have propelled the company towards achieving its long-term goals, navigating challenges with resilience and innovation. Natalie is a driving force behind AMS’s success, embodying a commitment to excellence and strategic vision.

Prior to joining AMS, Natalie held external reporting and FP&A management positions in corporate finance at Alliant Techsystems (ATK) and spent six years in Deloitte’s audit practice. 

Her time outside of work is full of life with her husband and three children. Natalie enjoys reading, and is passionate about traveling and cake decorating.

Ted is an accomplished senior executive and seasoned leader with over 25 years of retail and consumer industry experience. As an expert in merchandising and business operations, he brings a deep understanding in how to consistently deliver strong financial performance by always putting the customer at the center of every decision. 

As Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for AMS, Ted oversees the areas of Brand and Creative, Product Development and Merchandising, and Marketing. His primary focus is driving customer engagement and sales by developing and bringing to market a robust product pipeline in partnership with global mints. With storytelling at the root of all numismatic products, the power of joining these functions enables and fortifies a consistent customer experience across all sales channels and consumer touchpoints. 

Before joining AMS, Ted served as the Chief Merchandising Officer at Lovepop, a digitally native, late-stage startup disrupting the greeting cards space. Prior to that, he held the position of Vice President  of Merchandising at Target, where he established himself as a transformational leader, leveraging the power of teams, data, and technology. Additionally, Ted worked as a Principal at Kearney, a leading global management consultancy. Known for his strategic mindset and bias for action, he leads with curiosity and cultivates high-performing, engaged teams.

When not working, Ted seeks out time with his family and friends, plays tennis, enjoys cooking, and embraces the outdoors.

Jason serves on the AMS Senior Leadership Team as the Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO).  He spearheads our technology division, infusing cutting-edge technological advancements into our daily operations.  

He is actively involved in revitalizing and shaping the future vision of our enterprise architecture. He focuses on streamlining processes through automation and leveraging technology to drive revenue growth. His work on a new partner integration platform aims to bring exciting products to market faster. Additionally, implementing AI-driven product search and customer recommendations will enhance the user experience.

Prior to joining AMS, Jason led efforts at Cargill to use technology to transform long-standing agricultural processes and modernize the global technology footprint across Cargill’s agriculture supply chain and protein business. Previously, he led meaningful efforts to better connect technology teams and their benefits to the business and its people. 

In addition, he held technology roles at Target, Deloitte and Mortenson, where he organized and implemented critical technology initiatives – significantly impacting processes, technology operations, security, and overall business results. 

Jason enjoys coaching and developing talent, which has resulted in the establishment of several high-performing teams. His love of coaching extends into athletics, with the leadership of local youth soccer programs.

With over two and a half decades of dedicated leadership experience, Brian brings a relentless passion for growth – fostering a culture of continuous improvement in every organization he leads. 

As a seasoned expert in leading direct-to-consumer sales organizations, Brian has made an indelible mark on AMS since joining in 2008. His expertise has been instrumental in driving performance excellence across the organization. 

Prior to his role as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at AMS, Brian served in progressively advancing roles within the financial services industry. Notably, he spearheaded culture change initiatives and successfully expanded branch sales footprints at Ameriquest, New Century Financial, and United Securities. 

Brian has been recognized for infusing energy and urgency into every endeavor throughout his career. Beyond the boardroom, he brings this spirit to adventures in the great outdoors. He enjoys escaping to his cabin – immersed in nature, surrounded by family and friends.

Dena is an accomplished and strategic Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) with over 25 years of responsible and progressive experience developing best practices for companies. She has collectively spent 13 years of her HR career with AMS. As the CHRO, Dena plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s people strategy – aligning it with the overall business objectives and ensuring that talent remains at the heart of the company’s organizational success. She strives to recruit the best and brightest talent with the goal of fostering a strong company culture. 

She brings a wealth of experience in managing HR functions, driving workforce planning, and implementing innovative HR programs to enhance employee engagement, development, and retention. 

Dena is most fulfilled when championing employees in their professional growth, and is dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace that leads to a great employee experience. She radiates a passion for people beyond the office – quality time with her family and friends, embarking on adventures, and relishing life.

Spiwe Jefferson brings over 25 years of experience as a strategic advisor and global legal process architect – enhancing operational efficiency in private and public companies.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, she oversees the legal and compliance teams, delivering impactful and tailored legal services to the organization while navigating through intricate regulatory landscapes. As Chief of Staff to the CEO, Spiwe serves as a strategic partner and drives operational efficiency, effectiveness, and excellence.

Previously, Spiwe served as Deputy General Counsel at Amplify Education and held positions at John Crane, Smiths Medical, and Principal Financial Group. Her law firm experience includes nearly a decade representing Fortune 500 companies in high-stakes litigation at Blackwell Burke P.A.

In addition, she is an author, podcaster and mindfulness coach – committed to helping those around her live a full and healthy life.
